Inspired by military and workwear, LIKE AN INN designs unisex garments rooted in daily life.

Through garment dyeing, the brand minimizes overproduction by first creating undyed pieces, then coloring them with natural and traditional methods — from botanical hybrid dyeing to Bengala, Kakishibu, and Kure techniques.

Each item reflects Japan’s nuanced colors and wabi-sabi sensibility — pieces that age beautifully, made to last, and made with care.

【Product Introduction】
This jacket pays homage to an iconic model from a renowned workwear brand, blending classic functionality with modern updates. The silhouette and volume have been refined for a
contemporary fit, while a placket has been added to the front opening for enhanced practicality.

The body lining features our original gourd-quilted fabric made from cupro, while the sleeve
lining is diamond-quilted fabric for superior warmth and comfort. The collar is crafted from 14- wale corduroy for added texture. While staying true to traditional workwear details, the relaxed fit and unique texture from dyeing and processing give it a timeless, vintage-inspired character.

The outer fabric is made from 10-ounce organic cotton oxford, a lighter alternative to traditional duck fabric, resulting in a more versatile and easy-to-wear piece. Careful attention to dyeing and processing ensures each piece has a distinctive texture and a timeless, well-worn aesthetic. The Natural colour features an unbleached, washed finish, while the other colours use a botanical hybrid process. Brown is made with Kakishibu (persimmon tannin), and Sumikuro with charcoal extract.
