【Product Description 】

COTTON × SILK / BATISTE CLASSIC STRIPE & PLAID

This original material is woven using old-style looms at a historic loom in the Enshu region.

The warp is made of GIZA 100/2 cotton, and the weft is made of a cotton-silk blend. The classic, rustic striped, and checked shirt fabric uses extra long cotton for the warp and a silk blend for the weft, giving a good sheen and a luxurious feel compared to ordinary cotton materials.

The stripes and checks are cut from twisted yarn, so they are not too sharp and create a subtle patterned feel when combined with the ground. The finishing wash process softens the look and feel of the material, but the weft yarn is denser than broadcloth, making it a batiste standard, so it is not dull. The fabric is made of a broadcloth with a denser weft yarn than a broadcloth.
